All admissions proceeds goes directly towards caring for the animals and upkeep of the zoo. This includes animal housing, appropriate diet, veterinary care, new exhibit and design for all maintenance of the facility.

- Though they may roost in flocks of thousands, during the daytime they move and feed in much smaller flocks ranging up to 20.
- It can hang upside down from a branch to reach the nectar and pollen of flowers.
