Beginning in 2008, we opened the gates for School Tours of our facility. This half-day excursion is designed to educate children of any grade level about pivotal issues concerning the support and welfare of animals everywhere. The education program is divided into four different areas of emphasis.

- largest living marsupial
- kangaroo's long tail is used to balance the body
- can hop as fast as 40 mph
- can "cruise" for hours at 12 mph
- can jump as high as 9 feet
- females that are quicker than males are called does, flyers, roo or jill
- males are called bucks, boomers or jacks
- young kangaroos that can leave the pouch are called "joeys"
- kangaroos gather in groups called "mobs"
- red kanagroo's range of vision is about 300 degrees due to the position of their eyes (a human's range of vision is around 180 degrees)
