School Groups

Brights Zoo is currently open for school groups by reservation only. We ask that appointments be scheduled at least seven days in advance. Visits are guided tours lead by knowledgeable staff and each tour averages two to three hours in length.

Education Group Field Trips

Your group can experience the wonders of animal species from around the world at Brights Zoo. Think of our park as living, changing, growing parts of our community. There's always something new to discover and learn about, whether it flies, swims, or walks!

Groups over 60 people must be approved by the zoo administrator.

Wild Fun!

Lorikeet Landing - This walk-in aviary allows guests to interact with lorikeets in a free-flight environment. Currently we give students a free cup of nectar to feed the lorikeets. Groups over 60 will not get to do Lorikeet Landing. There are two main reason we dont allow groups over 60 people to do the Lorikeet Landing. Reason 1 is that the lorikeets attention span just can not last for larger groups, they become very aggitated once they are bored. Reason 2 is they have a restricted diet and we have found the limit to be 60 people or less.

Let us know when you register if you have any special needs

Let us know if your group requires any special needs. If you have older guests joining your group or if you have a guest that does not think they can handle the walking at the zoo we can provide a golf cart for those guests.

Admission

The following special prices can NOT be combined with other discount offers.

Education Group Prices

To qualify for the education group discount, 15 or more student admissions must be purchased as part of a single lump sum payment. To be eligible for this rate, public and private schools must present a confirmation of education status on letterhead.

For education groups, we offer one free teacher admission for every 10 paid students.

Additional adults or siblings may accompany the group at a rate of $15 per person, if paid in one lump sum with the school payment, or $15 plus tax payable at the gate.

Home School Groups

Brights Zoo welcomes home school groups and they qualify for the education group rate as long as there are 15 in the group. To receive the education rate discount of $7.00, each student must present a valid home school association card containing their name upon arrival. Students without cards only qualify for the group rate, not the education rate.

Weather

Please dress for the weather. In April and May it is cooler in the mornings and gets hotter as the day goes on. In the event of rain we will continue the tour or will try and wait out the weather. Once a tour has started Brights Zoo will not give out rain checks or refunds.

The education discount applies to members of the home school group only. Siblings, parents and friends may come with the home school group, but will be required to pay the standard group rate of $15.00 per person, plus tax.
