Brights Zoo is a privately owned zoo. Therefore, the zoo does not receive state, local or federal funding of any kind. All admissions proceeds goes directly towards caring for the animals and upkeep of the zoo. This includes animal housing, appropriate diet, veterinary care, new exhibit and design for all maintenance of the facility.

- Typically lie low in vegetation cover at the first sign of threat.
- Typically solitary, except for when a pair come together to mate.
- Most fawns are born in November and December.
- Predators are African Wild Cat, Caracal, Jackals, Leopard, Martial Eagle and Pythons.
- The horns are 2 and half to 7 and a half inches long.
- Feed on low vegetation because they can not reach above 35 inches.
 - Almost entirely independent of drinking water, gaining the moisture they need from their food .
